The Muse Behind the Song: Amanda Lear

Very mysterious about her early life, you can say that Amanda Lear’s life really began in the Swinging Sixties on the streets of Paris and London. A popular fashion model, Amanda was a regular at all the London and Parisian hotspots, rubbing elbows with the who’s who of the fashion, art, and music worlds. She was the girlfriend of Guinness heir, Tara Browne. And as we all know, Tara was good friends with The Rolling Stones. Because it was the decade of free love, Amanda had an affair with the beautiful blonde, blue-eyed guitarist, Brian Jones. Thus inspiring the ironic song “Miss Amanda Jones. While out clubbing with Tara and Brian, Amanda was introduced to surrealist painter, Salvador Dali, and also became his muse. She posed for some of his works and took part in several of his film projects.
