Photoshoot: One Direction in Teen Vogue

Yes, yes, another 1D photoshoot. The lads have appeared in so many (so. many.) this past month, or months?, I just don't know anything anymore. What I do know is that I am truly, madly, deeply, foolishly, crazy in love with this band, and that's the tragic truth. Someone recently asked me why I liked these boys so much and I had to sit and really think about this because I know I've said I've loved quite a few bands before (arctic monkeys, mgmt), but this band, for sure, has earned a coveted spot on 'my fave bands of all time' list. For sure I love them as much as the Beatles. Why? Because One Direction has the same thing (one thing? little things? ahaha) the Beatles had. Not music wise, of course, and the lads of 1D are quick to agree (their humbleness regarding the comparisons made me like them even more omg). But, I mean, and maybe I'm just weird, but both bands seem to have the same aura about them. Like, I don't know about you guys, but when I really got into the Beatles, I just wanted to be their friend. The same goes for 1D. Lame, I know, but they are just fun and fascinating, and magnetic and mythical, but at the same time, so relatable. They're like the funny boys you went to school with but they moved away before you really got a chance to know them, or like that elusive boy next door who is absolutely perfect and you spy on him through your windows. The point is, like the Beatles, One Direction makes me happy, they inspire me, they make me believe that dreams do come true, but most importantly, they make me want to live. Ok, I wasn't meaning to turn this post into a sappy diary entry that probably only really makes sense to me. Enjoy the lovely lads photographed by Boo George.

Each of the boys got their individual cover as well!

Photoshoot: One Direction in British Vogue

So in this months issue of Vogue UK, our lovely lads from 1D make a very special appearance. Dressed in matching suits and varsity jackets, the fab five are joined by gorgeous model Edie Campbell (who said Harry was the only one of the boys who really talked to her!! haha).

The Quiff

(teamgrimmy? more like teamquiff)

Ah, what can be said about the quiff? It's probably the sexiest, most rock and roll hairstyle a guy can have, that's for sure. As with most things, I first noticed just how much I loved that particular hairstyle when I got into the Beatles. And then this past summer Alex Turner debuted his new hairstyle and I was left speechless. All of a sudden all these lovely looking male models started popping up with this "omg-is-it-hot in-here?!" hairstyle. AND THEN, the guys in One Direction jumped on the quiff bandwagon, and then I was like, "Well I might as well jump off a bridge because I can't handle this anymore?!?!?!" Anyway, enjoy the following pictures of my favorite boys and their quiffs.

Can't forget the inspiration behind this... Elvis.

The inspiration behind Paul's quiff... Tony Curtis.

Another icon.. James Dean.

Here we have the Beatles in Hamburg in all their rock and roll glory. They were trying to imitate Elvis, but I like them and their quiffs so much better.

Fast forward over 50 years to 2011 and we have the 'super stylish without even trying' Alex Turner debuting his quiff.

Al and the rest of the Arctic Monkeys looking like they're from the 50's.

Not too long ago I saw Cry-Baby for the first time. I was missing out big time because Johnny Depp is in it, with a quiff.

Never forget Nowhere Boy era Aaron Johnson and his glorious quiff.

And my current fave raves, the boys of 1D go rockabilly!

At the VMA's all of them (except Harry, come on Harry) sported quiffs.
