He's a real nowhere man...

Well, in this case, Nowhere Boy. Here's the trailer for the untold story told hundereds of times before. I must admit, it looks interesting and I just can't wait to see it. Sure there are some inaccuracies, (ex: John had dreamy brown eyes, not dreamy blue eyes!) But they seem to be a good cast of actors, and I think they captured the style very well.

Photoshoot: Jim Morrison and Pamela Courson for Themis

The Beatles weren't the only rockstars to open a clothing boutique. Jim Morrison bought Themis for his girlfriend, Pamela Courson. Themis was said to have peacock feathers on the ceiling and clothing imported form around the world. In this photoshoot Jim, Pam, and their friends model some of the beautiful clothing that was available at Themis.

The Muse Behind the Song: Jane Asher

Another great rock and roll muse is the lovely Jane Asher. Acting since she was a little girl, Jane was already well-known when at the age of 17, she was asked to interview and pose for pictures with The Beatles. All The Beatels liked her, but it was Paul who finally won her over. And so began what seemed to be a teen dream romance come true. Paul moved into the Asher's home where he was exposed to a culture that only the upper-middle class could provide. There in the music room, Paul wrote many a famous Beatles songs. Some of the songs (good and bad) inspired by Jane are: Every Little Thing, Things We Said Today, And I Love Her, Here There And Everywhere, Honey Pie, You Won't See Me, I'm Looking Through You, For No One, I'm Down, Martha My Dear, We Can Work It Out, among others.

Taken on the night Jane first met The Beatles for the magazine she was interviewing them for.

Out and about with Paul:

Parties & Premiers:

Celebrating Jane's 21st birthday:

For Jane's 21st birthday, Paul bought her 21 dresses. This beautiful beaded red dress was one of them.

Rare Photographs: Chrissie Shrimpton and David Bailey

It's so so so hard to find pictures of Chrissie Shrimpton, even though she was a popular model in the sixties and dating Mick Jagger . Anyroad, I found this pic of Chrissie with David Bailey that I've never seen before.

John and Paul in Paris: 1961

For John's 21st birthday, John and Paul decided to hitchhike to Spain. They bought bowler hats to look all gentlemen and fancy like; thinking that they would have a better chance of being offered a ride that way.  But they only made it as far as France, where they bumped into an old Hamburg friend, Jurgen Vollmer. It was in Paris that Jurgen convinced John and Paul to get their haircut in what was to become the famous "Beatle Haircut". And the rest, as they say, is hairstyle history.
